Glyphosate, Herbicides & Equine Health: The Silent Threat in Horse Feed

GLYPHOSATE, PESTICIDES & HERBICIDES THE SILENT and INVISIBLE KILLERS

By Debra Nowak March 2026

Our Background;

We have been in Minerals and Enzymes for over 30 years. Raised horses for 50 years. Researcher my entire life, I have a passion for understanding TRUTH. We have 3 companies that all have the same goals of health for the soil, horses, dogs and humans.

This is a subject that has been with us for a long time. It’s just very few people are aware of this invisible killer. Dr Zach Bush was my first encounter with how deadly glyphosate is and the distribution on our food supply. Being the investigator soul, I am, this sent me on a journey to understand its path. Having raised many horses and dogs, and asking why they are so sick today? Then the questions of the human population and how sick society has become. All clues led me to the SOIL. As all foods come from our SOIL.

What do these chemicals do to our SOIL?

Well, they give quick bloom to the crops and get rid of weeds and for the hay farmer it is a desiccant (this helps cure the hay quickly and can cut back the moisture). Glyphosate overall is the one principal chemical used for crop desiccation worldwide. It is used as a pre-harvest crop dry down aid. Residues appear on crops, raising public health concerns. Alfalfa is one of the largest sprayed crops.

What is the health price for this toxic chemical cocktail for the food chain?

What does it do to the SOIL?

It kills microbial life and it leaches important minerals from the crops. Beneficial microbes are more sensitive to glyphosate, and this causes PATHOGENS to THRIVE.

Problem 1

Dr Huber quote: "Human cells might not possess the shikimate pathway, but almost all of our gut microbes do."

They use the shikimate pathway, a central biological pathway in their metabolism, to synthesize tryptophan, tyrosine, and phenylalanine, three of the twenty coding amino acids that make up the proteins of our human body. WOW, that’s important.

Problem 2

Dr. Huber quote: "Glyphosate is a chelator, a small molecule that binds tightly to metal ions. In plant physiology, glyphosate’s chelation disrupts a plant’s uptake of essential minerals from the soil, including zinc, copper, manganese, magnesium, cobalt and iron."

When we eat foods derived from these nutrient-deficient plants, we become nutrient deficient, as well.

Problem 3

Glyphosate also interferes with the symbolic relationship between plant roots and soil bacteria. Glyphosate kills the organisms living in the rhizosphere, which interferes with a plant’s nitrogen uptake, as well as many important minerals.

Problem 4

Add GMO (Genetically Modified Seeds) and NPK (Salts)

Alfalfa is now a GMO SEED, Round up ready. After years of farmers battling this corruption. This GMO seed was approved and is now used in almost all crops.

GMOS damages the gut bacteria and GUT lining, while Glyphosate poisons the system. The fact is the trace elements that are required for the soil microorganisms to produce the ENZYMES needed to make all their other protoplasm compounds are now void in the soil.

Problem 5

The consequences of glyphosate’s ability to incorporate itself into proteins in place of the coding amino acid glycine are far-reaching and potentially catastrophic.

In 2015, the International Agency for Research on CANCER (a division of the World Health Organization) concluded that glyphosate was “probably a carcinogen to humans.” How can we spray more than 300 million pounds of glyphosate-based herbicides on farms, FOOD, lawns and parks every year????

Problem 6

Tight junctions of our microbiome. Glyphosate

Glyphosate is found in our water, soil and food. Studies show that glyphosate and its metabolites negatively affect the epithelial tight junctions which are essential for maintaining the integrity of the gut barrier: aka “leaky gut”. This allows bacteria and other substances to pass from the gut into the blood stream, triggering INFLAMMATION.

In conclusion

Glyphosate is a broad-spectrum herbicide that’s an antibiotic. It inhibits the shikimate pathway in plants and gut bacteria, disrupting amino acid synthesis and gut microbiome balance. It also chelates essential minerals like manganese, zinc and cobalt, impairing ENZYME function and metabolic processes. Overtime this contributes to gut dysbiosis, mineral deficiencies and reduced detox capacity. Pure EVIL.

A Biblical perspective: The Trickster

The pathway: Alchemy to Sorcery, to Modern Chemistry (Monsanto), Modern Science, Modern Agriculture compounds these Deadly chemical cocktails on our FOOD. This will be a contributing factor in FAMINE as our food chain has become TOXIC.
